Where to even begin with Asher and Air’s wedding day? From the moment I met these two for their engagement session—first in Central Park and then in their Upper West Side apartment—I knew their wedding was going to be something special. Asher, a fellow creative, had a distinct vision for the day, carefully curating every detail, from the wedding signage to the custom napkins. It’s always a joy to photograph couples who care as much about the details as I do.
The morning began with a focus on those thoughtful touches, as I took time to create beautifully styled flat lays, incorporating their invitations, jewelry, perfume, and other meaningful items. Once the details were captured, I moved on to document the final moments of Air’s getting ready process. Surrounded by her closest friends, she surprised each of them with a special gift—matching black Prada bags to complement her own white Prada bag. The excitement and love in the room were palpable as they shared in the anticipation of the day ahead.
Once Air was dressed, it was time for a magical first look in the lush garden above The Foundry. The private, greenery-filled space created the perfect backdrop for them to see each other for the first time, and the moment was filled with pure joy. Afterward, we explored the venue for additional portraits. One of the best things about The Foundry is the endless variety of portrait locations—the industrial charm mixed with lush greenery makes for stunning backdrops at every turn.
Next, we moved into family and wedding party portraits, capturing both candid and composed moments. Thanks to the incredible planning by The Privilege is Mine, the timeline allowed for plenty of relaxed, in-between moments—where laughter, hugs, and genuine connections naturally unfolded.
For their Jewish ceremony, Asher and Air followed a more traditional approach, beginning with the veiling of the bride, leading into their heartfelt vows under the chuppah, framed by a breathtaking floral installation by Molly Oliver Flowers. The atmosphere was rich with meaning, tradition, and deep emotion as they officially became husband and wife.
Once the formalities were complete, we took advantage of the golden hour for a few final portraits, soaking in the warm, dreamy light before heading to their stunning outdoor reception. Guests dined under the stars, surrounded by candlelight and elegant floral arrangements, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The evening flowed seamlessly into a joy-filled dance party, with incredible live music by Hank Lane Music keeping the energy high all night long.
Every element of Asher and Air’s wedding day felt intentional, personal, and full of love. It was an honor to document such a beautifully curated and deeply meaningful celebration. Could not have asked for a better day!
