Some love stories take time to unfold, and for Christina and Dave, their journey began as high school friends before reconnecting after graduation. What followed was years of love and growth, leading to their stunning June wedding at City Winery Hudson Valley.
Dave’s at-home proposal was nothing short of magical. Christina shared the unforgettable moment with me:
“When I opened the door, the first thing I saw was fire. I audibly gasped. Dave had set up a path of candles from our front door leading to the bedroom door, which was closed. When I opened it, Dave was there waiting for me, with the entire room decorated with roses, candles, and balloons. He proposed to me right there. I thought that was it… until I asked where our dog was, since there were candles all over the floor. He told me he was in the walk-in closet in the office. When I opened that door, there was an open suitcase with a sign saying we were going to Aruba to celebrate! Our flight left the next morning. It was all a whirlwind—but such a surprise!”
After capturing their DUMBO engagement session in Brooklyn, Christina and Dave took their celebration upstate, where the industrial-meets-nature aesthetic of City Winery set the perfect stage for their wedding day.
When I arrived at City Winery Hudson Valley, the rain was coming down in buckets. We quickly made backup plans to take portraits indoors, but just as we were about to start the first look, the rain miraculously stopped. This meant we could take full advantage of the property’s stunning landscapes, blending editorial elegance with candid moments—exactly the vision Christina and Dave wanted.
We explored the venue’s vineyards, rustic wood backdrops, and modern industrial spaces, capturing both romantic, fashion-forward poses and natural, in-between moments filled with laughter and love.
Their ceremony took place indoors, an intimate and emotional exchange of vows surrounded by close friends and family. As the sun began to set, golden light streamed through the venue’s windows, creating a warm, romantic glow during cocktail hour.
During dinner, heartfelt toasts filled the space with love and laughter, while guests enjoyed City Winery’s incredible farm-to-table cuisine.
With the formalities complete, it was time to hit the dance floor! Christina and Dave kicked off the party, and from that moment on, the celebration was unstoppable.
